Three Kidnapped Chinese Expatriates In Osun Regain Freedom

Three Chinese expatriates who were kidnapped on Monday at a mining site in Itagunmodi, Atakumosa West Local Government Area of Osun State have regained their freedom.

According to the state Commissioner of Police, Abiodun Ige who also confirmed the incident, the expatriates were set free on Wednesday in Iperindo in Atakunmosa East Local Government Area of the state by the Nigerian Police.

They were said to be working at a mining site located in the town when they were abducted on Monday evening.

The policeman stationed to guard the expatriates was shot dead. 

One of the expatriates who made an attempt of escaping, sustained gunshot injuries and is currently receiving treatment at the Obafemi Awolowo University Hospital, Ile Ife.
