Senator Ahmad Lawan Sworn-In As Senate President
Senator Ahmed Lawan has emerged winner of the 9th Assembly election with a total vote count of 79. His victory came after defeating Senator Ali Ndume who pulled 28 votes.
Lawan, who is of the All Progressive Congress (APC) representing Yobe North, was sworn in amidst jubilations at the plenary.
