Nigeria’s IGP, Mohammed Adamu Places Police Command On Red Alert

The Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu is asking all police command and formations across the country to be placed on red alert. 

This measure followed an intelligence report that some people are planning to embark on massive public disturbances and sabotage following recent killing of an Iranian terrorist general, Qasem Soleimani by the United States troop.

Mohammed Adamu is also calling on all zonal AIGs and Commissioners of Police to ensure maximum surveillance and security of lives and property across the formation.

He told the senior police officers to ensure strategic development to both secret and uniform police operatives to ensure adequate security of citizens and foreigners particularly diplomats and diplomatic missions in Nigeria as well as the protection of critical national assets.

In a statement issued by the forces spoke person, Frank Mba, the Inspector General of Police assured all Nigerians and foreigners residence in Nigeria of adequate security.
