Goodluck Jonathan Berates Late Arrival Of Election Materials In Otuoke

Nigeria’s former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, on Saturday berated the late arrival of election materials to his polling unit 39, in Otuoke under ward 13 of Ogbia Local Government Area of Bayelsa State.

Jonathan had difficulty exercising his franchise at about 9.30 a.m. when he got to the poling unit.

He met a handful of journalists who he mistook for electoral officers.

Speaking to the journalists, the former president said, “well, this is where I will vote, but since they are not here yet let me go back inside. You see now, youths of nowadays, you need to do more.”

He later returned to the polling station later and was able to exercise his francise at about 11.30 a.m., while his wife did the same at about 11.35 a.m.
