Death Toll From COVID-19 Hits 13 In Nigeria

Death toll arising from coronavirus disease in Nigeria stood at 13 as the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Thursday alerted the country of a fresh case.

According to the NCDC, five states – Lagos, Edo, Katsina, Delta, and Kano, including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) have recorded at least one death.  This statistics was until April 16.

In addition, 35 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 were recorded in the country, raising the total number of infections to 442.

However, three states and the FCT were infected as follows:

Lagos – 19

FCT – 9

Kano – 5

Oyo – 2
